HandyPort – The Answer to Industrial Wireless RS232 Communications
HandyPort is a wireless cable replacement telemetry system for devices that would normally be connected through an RS232 serial connection. Operating in the license exempt 2.4GHz Industrial, Scientific and Medical band, the HandyPort will allow a sign to be located up to 100M (subject to environmental and atmospheric conditions) between 2 devices.
A complete HandyPort Wireless RS232 solution utilize two wireless transceivers complete with antennas and power cable. It is Ideal for PC to PC, PC to machine, or machine to machine communications when laying of physical RS232 communication cable between the two devices is not feasible.
HandyPort wireless RS232 solution include many advantages that are normally found on more expensive telemetry solutions including reliable data transfer with error correction and completely transparent protocols for exact data replication. These HandyPort units can work in environments where there is other wireless equipment, harsh industrial locations with electrical noise, coexist with other HandyPort Wireless RS232 pair, indoor or outdoor applications with low power consumption.
HandyPort wireless RS232 solution is an ideal choice for simple, robust and reliable communications. Since the HandyPort units are configured out of the box, all the user has to do is connect each unit into individual machine RS232 port. No software configuration is necessary, as far as your machine is concerned, its connected via a standard serial cable.
